30 Years of Building Something Greater Than Ourselves
Thirty years ago, SOLID began with a simple belief: if you take care of people, do the right thing, and never compromise on quality, success will follow.
What started as a vision to bring a higher standard of craftsmanship and professionalism to the commercial surface care industry has grown into something I could never have imagined. Today, we’re proud to serve clients across the country with more than 40 offices, hundreds of dedicated team members, and millions of square feet of commercial space under our care every day.
But this milestone isn’t really about the number.
It’s about the people who made it possible.
Over the past three decades, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside individuals who show up every day with enthusiasm and take great pride in their work. Whether they’re restoring a stone floor, refinishing metal, caring for carpet, supporting our clients behind the scenes, or helping move our business forward from within our offices, every associate at SOLID has contributed to the company we’ve become.
While there are a great many things to take pride in these past 30 years, above all others is the culture we have created.
Our Core Values – Be Honest. Be Caring. Be Creative. Be Expert. Be Great. – aren’t words on a wall. They guide how we treat one another, how we serve our clients, and how we approach every opportunity. As we’ve expanded into new markets, welcomed new teammates, and grown through acquisitions, protecting that culture has remained one of our highest priorities. We are solutionists, passionate about solving problems for our clients and delivering a world-class experience.
Our industry has changed dramatically over the last 30 years.
Technology has evolved. Client expectations have risen. Facilities have become more sophisticated. Throughout every change, we’ve remained committed to the same philosophy: restore instead of replace whenever possible, deliver exceptional craftsmanship, and create long-term value for our clients. That commitment continues to define who we are today.
Looking ahead, I believe our greatest years are still in front of us.
We’re investing in our people, expanding our capabilities, embracing innovation, and continuing to strengthen what makes SOLID unique. Our vision has never been simply to become the largest company in our industry. Our vision is to be the most trusted partner for commercial surface care—one known for expertise, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
As we celebrate this anniversary throughout the year, I hope you’ll join us in recognizing the people behind the work. The technicians, operations teams, account managers, sales professionals, administrators, and leaders who have helped shape SOLID over the last three decades are the reason we’ve reached this milestone.
To every employee, past and present, thank you for believing in our mission and embracing our vision.
To our clients and partners, thank you for placing your trust in us year after year and for challenging us to be great.
And to everyone who will help write the next chapter of our story, thank you for being part of what’s next.
Thirty years is an incredible milestone.
But for us, it’s only the beginning.
